Your new company
Our client is a globally recognised organisation operating within the advanced technology sector, delivering innovative solutions to customers across national and international markets. With continued growth and investment in brand and market presence, they are seeking an Events & Marketing Officer to join their Canberra-based team.
Your new role
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, networking events and customer engagement activities.
- Manage event logistics including travel, accommodation, sponsorships, venues, suppliers and branded collateral.
- Develop and execute event strategies aligned with broader marketing and business objectives.
- Maintain and coordinate a national and international events calendar.
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Coordinate marketing collateral, digital content and campaign assets.
- Monitor event budgets, timelines and deliverables, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Produce post-event reporting and evaluate return on investment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical subject-matter experts to translate complex information into engaging marketing initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in events management, marketing, or a combined marketing and events role.
- Experience delivering large-scale corporate events, exhibitions or in defence industry is highly desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
