RAAFA Club in Bull Creek.

About The Role
As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring a clean, safe and efficient environment for food preparation and service.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Washing and storing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping and preparing salads and desserts
- Handling, sorting, storing and distributing food items
- Cleaning food preparation equipment, kitchen areas and floors
- Managing rubbish and recycling disposal
- Organising kitchen linen laundering
- Delivering meals to the Lodge at service times
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods and functions
Roster & Flexibility
This casual role will primarily support our functions and event catering operations, while also providing kitchen coverage and assisting the team when additional support is required.
Typical Shifts May Include
- Friday daytime shifts: 9:30am – 3:00pm
- Friday evening shifts: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
- Split shifts on Fridays during busy periods and larger events
- Saturday shifts, generally 3:00pm – 9:00pm, when functions are scheduled
- Additional weekday shifts, typically 9:00am – 2:30pm
- Extra hours to support lunches, dinners and private functions
This role would suit someone looking for flexible casual hours who enjoys the variety of hospitality, events and functions work.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a kitchen hand, hospitality or food service role
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety practices
- Current Food Safe training, or willingness to obtain
