About The Role
Band 4 - base salary starting from $120,000 per annum (plus super) - the final total package to be negotiated with successful candidate.
TasNetworks is seeking an experienced
Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Business Partnering & Performance Team. In this role, you will provide strategic financial insights, trusted business partnering and high‑quality analysis that enables informed decision‑making and supports delivery of our strategic objectives.
Working closely with Executives, Leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will act as the key point of contact for finance‑related activities — including financial analysis, business planning, budgeting, performance commentary and commercial insights. Your work will directly contribute to robust financial oversight, improved business performance and strong governance across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Support Executives and Leaders with analytical insights, strategic acumen and commercial advice to enable informed business decisions.
- Act as the key contact for finance activities including financial analysis, business planning, budgeting and performance commentary.
- Manage month‑end processes and reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Collaborate with the Finance Business Partnering team to deliver strategic objectives and drive business improvement outcomes.
- Provide data analytics, business insights and financial/commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Support programs and projects to ensure alignment with the Gate Investment Framework governance guidelines.
- Initiate and support ongoing process improvements across finance systems, reporting and business processes.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably and lawfully directed by TasNetworks.
About You
You are a proactive and collaborative finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys (and has experience) partnering with stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes. You bring strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills and a commitment to high‑quality financial stewardship.
You Will Bring
- A degree in accountancy, business or a related field.
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.
- Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel capability.
- Ability to advise and influence non‑financial stakeholders confidently.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and critical‑thinking capability.
- Proven time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound communication and organisational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to use initiative and work autonomously.
