About The Opportunity

At Fairfield Grange, you’ll enjoy a peaceful Idalia setting in the heart of Townsville with nearby parklands and a warm, community-focused atmosphere. In this position you will be assisting in the provision of high-quality fresh meals to the residents of the facility, in support of maintaining their quality of life.

This role requires availability Wednesday to Sunday between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Your Day-to-day Will Involve

• Assist the Chef and other staff in the preparation of high-quality, fresh meals that meet residents’ dietary requirements and personal preferences
• Provide assistance to Support Services staff in meal service to residents
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and always adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

About You

• Experience in commercial food preparation
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety standards relevant to Aged Care
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach
• Previous experience in Aged Care industry is desirable
