Hays is partnering with a well-established mining operation to appoint a Senior Human Resources Advisor. The organisation is seeking experienced professionals who bring credibility, sound judgement and a practical approach to employee and industrial relations.
Your New Role
You will provide HR advisory support across multiple operational sites and partner closely with leaders on a broad range of workforce matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing HR advisory support to operational leaders
- Managing complex employee relations matters including
- Providing practical industrial relations and employee relations guidance
- Building strong relationships with leaders and employees to establish trust and credibility
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and internal policies and procedures
- Supporting workforce planning and organisational initiatives
- Assisting with performance and development processes
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting HR governance, systems and reporting requirements
- Working across HR systems, processes and transactional HR activities
- Supporting the ongoing improvement of HR systems, including ELMO
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Approximately 5+ years' experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role
- Strong ER and IR generalist experience
- Experience coaching, influencing and partnering with operational leaders
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Strong HR systems capability, including HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
- Previous experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, manufacturing or remote-site environments
- An understanding of FIFO operations and the lifestyle requirements associated with remote workforces
