Site Safety Coordinator | Underground Mining | FIFO 7:7 | WA

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Site Safety Coordinator for our client working on an underground mining operation near Kalgoorlie, WA.

This role will suit a hands-on Site Safety Coordinator with strong experience supporting underground mining operations, ideally within underground hard rock mining environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the site's Safety Management System (SMS).
• Conduct underground inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and safety communications.
• Support supervisors with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safe work planning.
• Monitor contractor compliance, permits, and critical safety controls.
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and statutory documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a strong safety-first culture.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher).
• Previous experience in an underground mining safety role.
• Strong knowledge of WA mining legislation, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Proven experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of site.
• Experience supporting supervisors and contractors to achieve safe work outcomes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
• Current driver's licence and the ability to work a FIFO 7:7 roster.

Highly Regarded

• Current underground inductions and site-specific certifications.
• ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training.
• First Aid and Emergency Response qualifications.
• Experience in underground gold mining operations
