SAP HR Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP HR Functional Consultant and lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP HR solutions within a large and complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP HR modules, including:
  • Personnel Administration (PA)
  • Organizational Management (OM)
  • Time Management
  • Payroll (Australian Payroll experience is highly desirable)
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP configurations.
  • Provide expert guidance on SAP HR best practices, process optimization, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, custom developments, reporting, and integrations with Finance and other enterprise systems.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, including solution design documents, configuration guides, and business process documentation.
  • Support testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect resolution, and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide functional support during cutover, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, user training sessions, and solution demonstrations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes, system performance, compliance, and data integrity.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an SAP HR Functional Consultant in large enterprise environments.
  • Personnel Administration (PA)
  • Organizational Management (OM)
  • Time Management
  • Payroll
  • Hands-on experience in SAP HR configuration and solution design.
  • Experience delivering full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or hybrid SAP HR environments.
  • Australian Payroll implementation or support experience.
  • Experience working within Government or Public Sector environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and change management practices.
