Established in 1972, Warrina Homes is a respected not-for-profit aged care provider in Adelaide, South Australia, with a long-standing presence in the North-Eastern suburbs. With the recent expansion into the Southern suburbs through the acquisition of Warrina Vales in Morphett Vale, an exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced General Manager Residential Services to join the Warrina Homes leadership team. This is a pivotal senior leadership role with the opportunity to help shape the future of a values-led organisation committed to delivering high quality Aged Care.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Clinical Operations (EMCO), this role is responsible for the leadership and management of a 180-bed Residential Aged Care facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • providing strong, hands-on leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and services to residents and their families;
  • leading, managing, supporting, and developing the site care team while fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and service excellence;
  • ensuring compliance with Aged Care Standards, relevant legislation, and Warrina Homes’ policies and procedures;
  • identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the organisation’s continuous improvement plan;
  • working closely with the EMCO and Admissions Management team to achieve and maintain occupancy targets;
  • managing the site budget and maintaining strong financial oversight.

We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience and, ideally, current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. You will bring outstanding leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach and a genuine commitment to service excellence. A warm, empathetic, and professional manner is essential, as is a passion for supporting older people. Experience in a similar Aged Care leadership role is preferred, though applications from allied health or broader nursing and health leadership backgrounds will also be considered.
