Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Storage Engineer – 12 month contract

Australian Citizen - must be able to obtain baseline clearance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer to support a large, complex ICT environment. This role will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, optimisation and troubleshooting of enterprise storage platforms across physical and virtual environments.

The successful candidate will also manage Storage Area Network infrastructure, contribute to the future direction of storage and data platforms, and produce high-quality technical documentation. You will work closely with experienced technical teams, share knowledge, mentor junior staff and support the transition of solutions into operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, administer and tune enterprise storage systems.
• Manage storage infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network switches.
• Troubleshoot complex storage, performance and connectivity issues.
• Assess emerging technologies and contribute to storage and data platform roadmaps.
• Produce detailed design, build, operations and handover documentation.
• Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures.
• Present technical information to staff and stakeholders.
• Coach, mentor and transfer knowledge to other team members.

Essential Experience

Demonstrated experience in the design, administration, tuning and troubleshooting of one or more of the following technologies:

• HPE 3PAR, Primera or Alletra storage systems
• NetApp E-Series
• Dell Data Domain
• Brocade Fabric Switches
• SANnav
• Scality ARTESCA

You will also require:

• Experience producing design, build and operational documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with highly skilled technical teams.
• Experience presenting technical information to staff and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor technical team members.
• Experience or knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication.
