Public Attendant

You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Public Attendant, you will take ownership of maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene of all public areas throughout the hotel. This role ensures guests experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by delivering exceptional housekeeping standards while adhering to hotel policies, brand standards, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

What you will be doing

• Clean and maintain all hotel public areas, including the lobby, reception, corridors, lifts, stairwells, public toilets, meeting rooms, restaurants, bars, and back-of-house areas.
• Vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Clean windows, mirrors, glass doors, and stainless-steel fixtures.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish guest amenities and consumables in public restrooms.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damage promptly.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling, prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
