PROCUREMENT ADVISOR

(Maximum Term Contract - up to 2 years)

About The Role

Reporting to the Strategic Procurement Specialist, the Procurement Advisor will support the delivery of procurement activities across Gladstone Ports Corporation.

This role will assist with sourcing, tendering, supplier engagement, purchase orders, contract administration, forward purchasing agreements and standing offers. The position will also support procurement process improvements, supplier performance monitoring and the effective use of procurement systems.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who enjoys working collaboratively, building strong relationships and delivering practical, compliant procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support sourcing, tendering and purchasing activities
  • Place and manage purchase orders for materials, equipment and services
  • Monitor supplier performance and assist with delivery requirements
  • Support forward purchasing agreements, standing offers and commodity contracts
  • Assist with invoice and purchasing queries
  • Provide procurement advice and support to internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements and effective use of procurement systems
  • Ensure procurement activities are undertaken in line with policy, probity and integrity requirements

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, warehousing or supply chain activities
  • Experience using procurement systems or enterprise resource planning systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good judgement, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Experience working with suppliers and internal customers
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach
  • Commitment to ethical procurement practices and GPC’s values

Desirable

  • Level 3 certification under the Queensland Purchasing Certification Program
