Overview

The role will support efficient warehouse operations through the safe handling, storage and distribution of goods. The Warehouse Person ensures accurate inventory control, timely order fulfilment and adherence to safety, governance and compliance standards.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

Strategic Focus

  • Support operational efficiency by maintaining organised warehouse processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations
  • Assist in maintaining stock accuracy to support business performance

Operational Management

  • Receive, unload, and store inbound goods in designated locations
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and within required timeframes
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Support day-to-day warehouse operations and workflow requirements

People Leadership

  • Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams
  • Support team objectives through effective communication and cooperation

Governance & Risk

  • Follow all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures
  • Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in compliance with regulations
  • Conduct daily pre-start equipment checks
  • Report hazards, incidents, and damaged goods promptly
  • Always ensure safe manual handling practices

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Previous warehouse or storeman experience
  • Valid Forklift Licence (LF – mandatory)
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Proactive and organised with a methodical approach
