About The Opportunity

Abergeldie is seeking a Health and Safety (Systems) Advisor to support the ongoing development, implementation and continuous improvement of our Work Health and Safety Management System.

Working closely with operational teams and Shared Services functions, this role provides technical work health and safety support across management systems, legislative compliance, safety governance, business improvement initiatives and pre-contract activities. This position also plays a key role in coordinating Return to Work programs and supporting health and safety compliance across Abergeldie's offices, depots and project environments.

Day-to-day Responsibilities May Include

  • Maintaining and continuously improving Abergeldie’s Work Health and Safety Management System, procedures and associated documentation.
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory changes and supporting updates to systems and processes to maintain compliance.
  • Assisting with internal audits, management reviews and health and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Providing health and safety systems support to operational teams, including reviewing safety documentation and supporting incident investigations.
  • Developing and steering health and safety training, initiatives and communications to promote consistent application of health and safety systems and processes across the business.
  • Preparing health and safety content for tender submissions, expressions of interest and prequalification documentation.
  • Coordinating Return to Work programs and liaising with injured workers, managers and external stakeholders to support positive rehabilitation outcomes across selected areas of the business.
  • Supporting health and safety compliance across offices and depots, including workplace inspections, emergency preparedness activities and corrective action management.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Experience within a Health and Safety advisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and improving health and safety management systems.
  • Sound understanding of WHS legislation and industry standards.
  • Strong document management and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing professional documentation and reports.
  • Experience coordinating Return to Work activities.
  • Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Diploma and/or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Current C Class Driver Licence.
  • Construction Industry White Card.
