YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Student Ambassador, you’ll be a visible leader within the resident community, helping create a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment where students feel connected, supported and empowered to thrive.

Working closely with the Student Experience and Next Generation teams, you’ll act as a trusted peer mentor, community advocate and role model, while also providing guidance to fellow Student Ambassadors. You’ll help shape the student experience by building strong relationships, supporting student wellbeing, leading engagement initiatives and creating opportunities for residents to connect and belong.

Day-to-day You Will

• Role model positive community standards and help foster an inclusive, respectful and welcoming environment.
• Build meaningful connections with residents, particularly newly arrived and under-18 students.
• Act as an approachable peer mentor, providing guidance, information and support to fellow students.
• Identify and refer student wellbeing concerns and help connect residents with appropriate support services.
• Lead student voice initiatives, including forums and feedback opportunities, to help improve the resident experience.
• Plan and deliver engaging weekly community events while supporting larger property and portfolio activations.
• Create and share engaging content across Scape’s social and community channels.
• Encourage participation in community events, welcome activities and student programs.
• Support check-ins, inductions and key operational activities throughout the year.
• Assist with incident escalation, emergency procedures and community safety initiatives when required.
• Provide guidance and support to Student Ambassadors to help deliver outstanding student experience outcomes.

• A confident communicator who builds strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently using initiative.
• Creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to bring fresh ideas to events and community engagement.
• Confident using social media and digital platforms to engage and connect with students.
• Professional, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive matters.
• Calm, mature and able to respond appropriately in challenging or emergency situations.
• Willing to obtain (or already hold) a Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certification.

• The successful candidate must be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Flexible availability across weekdays and weekends to support event planning, coordination, and event execution as required.
