About the role

The Marketing Strategy Lead plays a key role in shaping insight-led marketing strategies and bringing our customer value propositions to life across Cbus’ member, employer and industry segments.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy & Planning, this role translates data-driven insights into clear, actionable plans that enable effective go-to-market execution. Working collaboratively with brand, acquisition, lifecycle, digital and content teams, the role ensures segmented messaging and integrated omni-channel campaigns are aligned to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine customer value propositions across key segments, translating insights into strategies that drive member and employer growth
  • Turn research, behavioural data and market insights into clear, structured and actionable marketing propositions
  • Design and deliver research initiatives to inform marketing strategy and identify growth opportunities
  • Create clear, actionable strategic briefs, including audience definition, messaging frameworks and success measures
  • Enable effective go-to-market execution by developing propositions and briefing materials for cross-functional marketing teams
  • Partner closely with brand, lifecycle, digital, product and content teams to ensure alignment between strategy and delivery
  • Conduct market and segment analysis to identify targeting, engagement and growth opportunities
  • Support prioritisation of segments, initiatives and propositions aligned to business and marketing objectives
  • Ensure all outputs are evidence-based and meet governance and documentation standards
  • Contribute to broader marketing strategy initiatives, including presentations, reporting and stakeholder communications

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, insights, proposition development or campaign planning
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional marketing teams (campaigns, digital, content) to deliver go-to-market outcomes
  • Strong ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable marketing outputs
  • Highly structured thinker with strong problem-solving capability
  • Ability to develop clear, concise and high-quality strategic briefs and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders
