Associate Director -Tenant Representation (Industrial)

Knight Frank Australia

Job Description

  • Exposure to national client relationships and multi-market industrial requirements, providing breadth beyond a purely local market remit.
  • A meaningful career move for someone who wants both transactional responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of a growing occupier business.
  • Join Knight Frank at an exciting stage of growth within Occupier Strategy and Solutions, supporting the continued development of the Tenant Representation Industrial platform.

Who we’re looking for?

  • Strong technical understanding of transaction processes, including negotiation of commercial terms and exposure to lease structuring for industrial property.
  • A client-centric mindset, with the ability to understand the needs of the user of the asset rather than focusing only on the asset itself.
  • Demonstrated experience in property transactions, ideally in a tenant representation, agency, occupier advisory or closely related commercial property environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, or Finance are well regarded but not essential.
  • Hold a valid Agent’s Representative Certificate and a current driver’s licence.

The role

Working as part of a national platform, you will help deliver industrial tenant representation advice and transaction management for clients whose property needs often extend across multiple markets. This role will play an important role in supporting the growth of our occupier-focused business in Victoria. This role is suited to someone with strong property transaction capability who can manage negotiations with a high degree of independence, contribute confidently to deal strategy, and build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Based in Melbourne, the role offers the opportunity to join a developing platform with strong momentum, work closely with experienced leaders across the broader Occupier Strategy and Solutions business, and help shape the next phase of growth in Tenant Rep Industrial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to understand their operational requirements, location drivers and commercial objectives, translating these into effective property strategies and transaction activity.
  • Manage industrial tenant representation transactions for occupier clients, from initial brief through negotiation and execution.
  • Lead or support negotiation of heads of terms, lease documentation and, more complex structures such as agreement for lease and pre-lease arrangements.
  • Coordinate with legal advisers and internal colleagues to help structure and progress transactions.
  • Support business development activity by contributing to pitches, proposals, market engagement and conversations that help secure new occupier mandates.
  • Work across opportunities that may span Victoria and other Australian markets, reflecting the national nature of many client relationships and requirements.
  • Share market intelligence and collaborate internally, contributing to pipeline growth and team best practice.
