MOVE Injury & Disability Support is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Melbourne assisting injured workers in the Victorian WorkCover scheme return to work. MOVE is a national boutique organisation that provides rehabilitation services across WorkSafe VIC, Workcover QLD and RTWSA . The ideal candidate would enjoy working with a variety of clients across WorkSafe Victoria.

You will be responsible for your own case load, primarily working with your clients to build their capacity for employment, vocational counselling and coaching and supporting them while they progress towards return to work.

Our clients are individuals who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries and your role will be to assess their needs and assist them in maximising their quality of life and independence.

About you:

  • Motivated, reliable and trustworthy person
  • Client-centred and holistic thinking
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office is essential
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet Key Performance Indicators
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including proven competency in report writing
  • Ability to be highly organised, with experience and maturity to manage competing demands
  • Ability to work and communicate with diversity
  • Police check, current drivers’ licence and car
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Tertiary qualified as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist, Osteopath or Exercise Physiologist
  • Knowledge and understanding of Workers’ Compensation and injury management (desirable)
