GCG is looking for a senior occupational hygiene professional to join our expanding Perth team. If you are a seasoned hygienist with several years of demonstrated experience, ready to step into a senior technical and business development role, this is an opportunity to grow your career while helping shape GCG's future across WA.

You'll work alongside some of Australia's most respected Certified Occupational Hygienists, take ownership of high-profile projects across the state's resources, construction, and defence sectors, and play a real role in growing GCG's presence in Western Australia — backed by the scale and reputation of one of the country's largest occupational hygiene consultancies.

The Role

In this senior role, based in Perth, you'll deliver occupational hygiene services across a diverse client base while contributing to business development and client growth across the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site occupational hygiene monitoring for GCG's existing WA clients
  • Lead exposure assessments and hygiene monitoring programs across client sites
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports, findings, and recommendations
  • Advise clients on exposure control strategies and regulatory compliance
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow GCG's WA client base, with support from the national team
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members, contributing to GCG's collaborative culture
  • Partner with GCG's Certified Occupational Hygienists on local and large-scale national projects
  • Contribute to project planning, proposals, and technical initiatives
  • Travel to client sites across WA (and occasionally interstate) as required

Why GCG?

GCG is one of Australia's largest and most respected health, safety, and hygiene consultancies. Our national team includes 14 Certified Occupational Hygienists, and our culture is built on technical excellence, genuine collaboration, and putting people first.

We Offer

  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Flexible work arrangements — we understand life happens
  • Clear career progression through the GCG Career Pathway program
  • Your birthday off, plus a range of other employee benefits
  • Exposure to high-profile projects across a diverse range of industries
  • The chance to learn from and work alongside some of Australia's most experienced hygienists
  • Access to cutting-edge technology and GCG's in-house innovation platform
  • Study support and AIOH membership support
  • A supportive, down-to-earth team that values both independence and genuine teamwork

About You

  • Strong knowledge of exposure monitoring methodologies and occupational hygiene principles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop occupational hygiene monitoring programs and management plans
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver a broad scope of occupational hygiene assessments, including at a minimum Health Risk Assessments and Noise Surveys

  • Commercial awareness and genuine interest in contributing to business growth
  • Experience leading projects
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite

Highly Regarded But Not Essential
