Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Technical Lead (AWS & Azure) with Australian Citizenship - Canberra

Contract: 6 months + 6 months extension

Requirement: Australian Citizenship mandatory

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Technical Lead to deliver secure cloud solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure within a complex enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on role covering cloud platform engineering, automation, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud uplift initiatives. You will act as a technical SME, support engineering best practices, and collaborate with architects, security teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and support AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions

• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitOps practices

• Embed cloud security, compliance and governance controls

• Troubleshoot complex cloud platform issues and drive improvements

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing

Required Experience

• 5+ years’ Cloud Engineering / Platform Engineering / DevOps experience

• Strong hands-on AWS and Microsoft Azure experience

• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation or similar)

• Strong CI/CD, automation and DevSecOps experience

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Highly regarded

• Federal Government or regulated environment experience

• Cloud optimisation / FinOps experience

• AWS / Azure certifications

Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
