Our Branch

Transport Assets and Operations (TAO) has a key role to play in planning and maintaining Council's transport network and in implementing the Transport Plan for Brisbane to enable the efficient and sustainable movement of people and freight. We are all about keeping Brisbane moving, whether that's by using our road network or riding, walking or scooting along one of our many bikeways and shared paths.

The Role

We're looking for a highly organised and experienced Senior Correspondence Officer to join our Transport Assets and Operations team. In this role, you'll coordinate and deliver high-quality responses to complex, sensitive and confidential correspondence, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate and professional communication.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders across Council and provide expert advice, coaching and support to help drive excellence in correspondence management.

To be successful you will have

  • exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated experience drafting, editing and proofreading complex correspondence
  • strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet demanding deadlines
  • strong research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • a collaborative approach that supports team performance, customer service excellence and positive workplace relationships.
