About the role and team
We have an opportunity for a Precedent Co-ordinator to join our Knowledge team, based in Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.
The role will report to the Knowledge Manager - Insurance and assist the Knowledge team in providing support predominantly to the national Insurance practice. The role will also provide administrative support as required to the Knowledge and Client Solutions teams.
We are accelerating our focus on document automation and case management across the firm. Document automation is a critical strategic project underpinning our Smarter Law approach.We are expanding our Knowledge team to support this. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Knowledge team as we provide the firm with next generation solutions.
You will be responsible for:
- working with the Knowledge team to develop and maintain precedent documents using Microsoft applications, in line with firm style;
- reviewing/proofreading precedents and business development material;
- providing administrative support to the Knowledge and Client Solutions teams, including supporting with meeting and training set up, arranging travel and processing expenses;
- developing knowledge of the firm’s approved AI tools to support workflows and maintain efficiencies; and
- adding material to internal knowledge sharing platforms.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- strong attention to detail;
- experience with Microsoft Office suite;
- experience with PDF editing software such as Adobe Acrobat;
- experience working with legal documents required;
- experience in general word processing, Excel, Jira (task tracking software), document comparison software, and iManage software desired but not essential; and
- experience in the insurance industry would be highly regarded but is not essential.
