About the Role
The Head of Clinical Education & Professional Development leads the strategy, design and delivery of clinical education, workforce capability and professional development programs across residential care, home care and community services.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening clinical capability, leadership and professional practice, ensuring our people have the knowledge, skills and support needed to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care. The role also leads the development of a thriving Clinical Community of Practice, promoting collaboration, shared learning and evidence-based practice across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the clinical education and professional development strategy across the organisation.
Build workforce capability through education, competency, supervision and professional development programs.
Establish and maintain a high-performing Clinical Community of Practice.
Drive learning from incidents, investigations and reviews to strengthen practice and improve care outcomes.
Use data and workforce insights to identify learning needs and capability priorities.
Support clinical governance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coach, mentor and influence leaders and clinicians across services and regions.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, Education, Health Management or a related field.
Current AHPRA registration (where applicable).
Significant leadership experience in clinical education, workforce capability, clinical governance or quality within aged care.
Strong understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance requirements.
Experience designing and delivering education, competency and professional development programs at scale.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform capability planning and improvement.
Proven ability to lead teams and influence practice across diverse stakeholder groups.
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
