Your Role as Change Manager

The Change Manager plays a key role in driving the successful adoption of organisational change across projects and strategic initiatives at Wesley Mission Queensland. Working closely with the Change Management Office (CMO), this role partners with stakeholders across the business to develop and deliver change management plans, communications, training, and engagement strategies that support positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Completing change & communications analysis, preparing change plans and working with stakeholders to ensure change plans are fit for purpose.
  • Preparing Change related training analysis, content and complete training effectiveness assessments.
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders and project team members to reinforce and embed new systems, processes and behaviours.
  • Evaluating the impact of planned organisational changes and develop strategies and tactics to mitigate risk.
  • Defining success metrics and measure performance against these.
  • Providing reporting and other updates to management and project teams.
  • Coaching for success, providing feedback, guidance and encouragement to staff undertaking change initiatives.

This role is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months.

What We’re Looking For

  • Prosci Change Management certification and strong knowledge of change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proven experience delivering successful change initiatives across diverse and multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all organisational levels.
  • Strong business acumen, organisational design knowledge, and demonstrated project planning and delivery capability.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills in complex environments.

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

  • Accreditation or qualifications in Lean Change and/or Accredited Change Professional Foundation
  • Previous experience working in the health, human services or not-for profit industries.

Essential Requirements

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
