Agriculture Construction Parts & Machinery Manager Job Description

I. Job Summary

The Agriculture Equipment Manager at GW TRACTORS (QLD) PTY LTD is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all agricultural machinery and equipment. This role involves managing our skilled technician, coordinating with external suppliers for parts and services, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

II. Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance, Repair and Parts:

Supervise the maintenance and repair of all agricultural equipment, including tractors, and other machinery.

    Lead and manage our technician and parts interpreters, providing training, guidance.

    Ensure that all team members adhere to safety standards and operational protocols.

      Coordinate with International and local suppliers and vendors to procure necessary parts and services for equipment maintenance, repairs and resale of parts and machinery.

      Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external service providers.

        • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and costings of all workshop jobs.
        • Oversee inventory control, order processing and distribution of products and parts
        • Work closely with workshop team to ensure parts availability for repairs
        • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data
        • Ensure all parts are stored properly and inventory is managed efficiently
        • Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints regarding parts
        • Monitor sales trends and work with sales team to increase parts sales
        • Perform annual stock takes to ensure physical inventory matches computerized inventory systems

          Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the safe operation of all agricultural machinery.

          Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to equipment usage and maintenance.

          III. Qualifications

          1. Strong leadership and team management skills.
          2. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
          3. Overseeing the proficiency in maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery.
          4. Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
          5. Good sound knowledge of Tractors and Bulldozers
          6. Forklifts license (desirable) but not essential

          Work Environment

          The Agriculture Equipment Manager will primarily work on-site at GW TRACTORS (QLD) PTY LTD agricultural business. The role may require occasional travel to other company locations or supplier sites. The manager must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and may need to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
