- Senior technical position with genuine influence
- Long-term growth within a leading Tier One electrical contractor
Design. Certify. Shape the future of Western Sydney’s infrastructure.
Imagine your designs powering data centres, hospitals, stadiums and major water infrastructure across Western Sydney.
You’re not just producing drawings.
You’re certifying complex ASP3 designs, solving high-voltage challenges and helping deliver the infrastructure that keeps entire communities moving.
Sound cool? We know.
This isn’t just another design role.
It’s an opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading Tier One electrical contractors, working across some of the region’s most significant infrastructure and construction projects.
Your experience will matter here.
You’ll be trusted to own your designs, certify your own work and provide technical direction across a growing project portfolio.
You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor developing engineers, provide feedback and help strengthen the technical capability of the broader team.
This isn’t a traditional people-management role.
It’s a senior technical position where your judgement, authority and experience will carry real weight.
About The Opportunity
As a Senior ASP3 Design Engineer, you’ll lead the design and certification of electrical infrastructure across major commercial, utility and critical infrastructure projects.
One day, you could be designing and certifying contestable network works supporting a major stadium.
The next, you could be delivering ASP3 designs for data centres, hospitals, infrastructure sites and complex commercial infrastructure.
You’ll work across Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks, with exposure to Essential Energy highly regarded.
You’ll prepare, review, certify and sign off ASP3 designs, ensuring each project meets network, client and regulatory requirements.
Your role will also involve providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with construction teams, project managers, clients and junior engineers.
Transmission experience would be a major advantage, particularly as the business continues to expand its presence across large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects.
The Business
This isn’t your typical electrical contractor.
For more than 100 years, this Australian-owned business has been helping shape the country’s electrical infrastructure.
From data centres and hospitals to stadiums, water facilities and major commercial developments, they deliver complex projects where quality, reliability and technical capability matter.
Based in Penrith, you’ll join a growing Western Sydney team with a strong pipeline of current and upcoming work.
Growth is a genuine part of the story here.
They are continuing to build their engineering capability and are looking for someone who can become a trusted senior technical figure within the team.
Retention is important to them, and you’ll feel that firsthand through the development opportunities, project exposure and long-term career pathways available.
About You
You’re an authorised ASP3 Design Engineer with strong experience across HV, commercial construction or utility infrastructure.
Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy experience will be highly regarded, while exposure to Essential Energy would make you stand out.
You’re confident preparing, certifying and signing off your own ASP3 designs.
You understand the technical detail, but you also bring the commercial awareness needed to deliver practical solutions across live construction environments.
Ideally, you’ll bring around 10 years of broader electrical engineering experience, including at least five years working within ASP3 design.
You may already be operating at senior level, or you could be an experienced ASP3 Engineer ready to take the next step.
You’re also someone others naturally turn to for advice.
You can mentor junior engineers, provide clear feedback and give direction without needing a formal management title.
Data centres, transmission, hospitals, utilities or large-scale infrastructure?
You know your way around complex projects.
