Sharp People is partnering with a well-established Managed Service Provider based in Taree that has been delivering trusted IT solutions to businesses across the Mid North Coast for more than 26 years.

Supporting approximately 80 local business clients, our client has built a strong reputation for providing exceptional service, building long-term relationships and creating a positive, flexible working environment for their team.

They're now looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join the business and become a key technical resource.

The Role

This is a hands-on senior technical position where you'll take ownership of complex support requests, deligate lower level tasks to junior technicians and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service desk.

Your day will typically include:

  • Managing Level 2/3 technical support requests.
  • Monitoring and prioritising tickets through Datto Autotask.
  • Proactively managing client environments using Datto RMM.
  • Supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows environments.
  • Managing backups, endpoint security, EDR and cloud solutions.
  • Troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices and infrastructure.
  • Building strong relationships with clients while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior technicians.
  • Visiting local client sites when required, with around 80% of support delivered remotely.

About You

You'll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) preferred.
  • Strong Level 2 support experience with exposure to Level 3 technologies.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with Datto RMM, Datto Autotask or similar MSP platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence.
