The role

As Project Liaison Lead, you will be Gippsland Water's key point of contact for third-party infrastructure and construction projects that interact with our land, assets and operations. You will work closely with contractors, developers, government agencies, utilities and internal teams to coordinate activities, manage risks and ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and with minimal impact on our services. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, sound judgement and the ability to balance operational, commercial and regulatory considerations while protecting critical water and wastewater infrastructure.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience coordinating infrastructure, construction, utilities, civil works or land access projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and competing stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across operational, technical and corporate teams.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the judgement to balance operational, commercial, legal and reputational considerations.
