We are partnering with MLAHMC Ltd, previously operating as Mid Lachlan Aboriginal Housing, to find the Dubbo team a Senior Tenancy Support Officer. MLAHMC Ltd is the largest Aboriginal Community Housing Provider in New South Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, community-focused person to provide culturally safe, professional and coordinated tenancy service delivery across multiple communities.

About The Role

You will:

  • Coordinate tenancy service delivery across multiple communities
  • Oversee tenancy administration processes including agreements, sign-ups, documentation and tenant records
  • Provide leadership-level support for complex or escalated tenant enquiries
  • Support tenancy sustainment through proactive communication, service coordination and risk escalation
  • Monitor rent accounts, arrears trends and tenancy compliance matters.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coordination to tenancy administration staff.
  • Work closely with property services while maintaining clear role boundaries and escalation pathways.
  • Contribute to culturally safe, compliant and responsive service delivery.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience in tenancy management, housing services or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy compliance, risk management and community housing frameworks.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement within delegated authority.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex operational environment.
  • Confidence supporting staff, coordinating workloads and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Commitment to Aboriginal communities and culturally safe practice.

Essential Requirements

  • Aboriginality – this is an identified position under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)
  • Current National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Ability to work in accordance with MLAHMC policies, procedures and delegated authority.

Desirable

  • Certificate IV in Social Housing or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
  • Experience using tenancy management systems and preparing reports.
  • Experience supporting staff development, onboarding or capability building.
