About The Opportunity

Located in the heart of Port Macquarie, the Glasshouse is home to a theatre, Regional Gallery, studio, Visitor Information Centre, gift shop, conference and meeting facilities, and heritage displays. To be successful in these roles you will be personable, bring positivity and thrive working as part of a team delivering exceptional customer service to our patrons. We provide short shifts with manageable workloads and flexible hours that fit around your schedule. All staff engaged at the Glasshouse must have a current Working with Children Check.

Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment venues, arts, and creative industries would be beneficial (but not essential).

Available Opportunities May Include

Front of House

Reporting to the Front of House Coordinator, the casual Front of House casuals are responsible for the safety, security comfort, and service of patrons. The role of Casual Front of House Staff member requires delivering a consistently high level of efficient and friendly customer service at the Glasshouse venue and events.

On a Typical Day This Role Will

  • Welcome patrons to the venue, answer enquiries and communicate event information (theatre and gallery)
  • Deliver food and beverage services during events and functions (RSA required)
  • Maintain exceptional standards of presentation in the Front of House areas of the Glasshouse
  • Ticket check and usher patrons
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time at an assigned post

Starting salary of $38.43 Per Hour + Penalties + Superannuation with the opportunity for competency-based progression.

Back of House

Under the direction of the Back of House Coordinator the casual BOH Technicians assist in the setup and operation of the technical requirements of all Glasshouse events. These roles include many duties in the back of house area including loading in and out, audio visual, lighting, audio and staging.

Starting salary of $39.94 Per Hour + Penalties + Superannuation with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
