Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in mining, engineering or industrial services? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected engineering business that is continuing to grow across North Queensland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry leader that provides specialised engineering solutions to the mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors. You'll have the autonomy to develop new business, strengthen existing client relationships and play a key role in driving regional growth.
About The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing regional business development strategies.
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Managing and growing existing key customer relationships.
- Preparing quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.
- Negotiating commercial agreements while maintaining margin objectives.
- Maintaining CRM activity, sales pipeline and sales forecasts.
- Working closely with Operations, Engineering and Production teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
- Travelling throughout North and regional Queensland to meet with customers and identify new opportunities.
- Representing the business across the mining, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales.
- Experience within heavy engineering, mining services, fabrication, machining, hydraulics, lubrication or a related industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Full Australian working rights.

- $125,000 base salary
- 12% superannuation
- Performance bonus of up to $15,000 per annum (following the successful completion of a six-month qualifying period)
