About the role

We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate disability support worker to provide care and assistance to a 30-year-old male with a traumatic brain injury, dependant on support for all aspects of daily living.

Duties include but not limited to

  • Personal care including bowel care
  • Medication administration
  • Assistance with Allied health tasks
  • Manual handling including hoist transfers
  • PEG feed management
  • Continence management
  • Domestic assistance
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Community access- need to drive modified vehicle

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Shift times attended with 2 workers

  • Monday to Sunday 8am-8pm
  • Active overnights 8pm-8am

Requirements

  • Applicants should be fluent in English
  • Previous care experience
  • Current references
  • Mobile phone
  • Certificate III in Aged/Disability or another relevant field (mandatory)
  • Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory)
  • First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
  • Current driver's licence and your own car with insurance
  • Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
