Burke Lawyers is a dynamic and growing law practice seeking a Senior Associate in Wills & Estates to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality advice and building further on our strong client and referral relationships. About The Role
As a Senior Associate in our Wills & Estates practice, you will work closely with our directors, Special Counsel and Associate on a broad range of matters including estate planning, estate administration and estate disputes. You will take ownership of files, manage client and referral relationships and contribute to the continued growth of this key practice area.
A key highlight of this role is the opportunity to work directly alongside a highly experienced and well-regarded director, providing you with valuable insight, mentorship and exposure to complex matters and strategic decision-making.
You will also be part of a close-knit and highly capable team, working alongside an experienced Special Counsel who will provide strong technical guidance and mentoring, as well as an experienced Associate. Together, this team offers a collaborative and supportive environment, with significant opportunities for learning, development and sharing expertise.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to step into a senior position within a collaborative team, with autonomy, support and clear pathways for career progression. This role is available either four days or five days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a range of Wills & Estates matters, including:
- Estate planning (wills, powers of attorney, succession planning)
- Probate and estate administration
- Estate disputes
- Provide high-quality technical, strategic and practical legal advice to clients
- Build and maintain strong client and referrer relationships
- Mentor and support junior lawyers and team members
- Work closely with directors and our Special Counsel on complex matters and practice development
- Contribute to business development initiatives and grow your practice
Key Skills & Attributes
- 5+ years’ post-admission experience in Wills & Estates
- Strong technical knowledge across estate planning and administration (experience in estate disputes advantageous)
- Excellent drafting, communication and client and other relationship management skills
- Ability to manage files autonomously while working collaboratively
- Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to client service and business development
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership capability or interest in mentoring others
- Proactive approach to technology and continuous improvement
