Reach Stacker Operator (Afternoon Shift)

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking an experienced Reach Stacker Operator to join our Port Logistics team based at the Port of Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe loading, unloading, movement and stacking of shipping containers within a busy container yard, while ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday on the PM Shift, with occasional overtime and weekend work required to support operational requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Safely load and unload shipping containers from trailers using a Reach Stacker.
• Stack and relocate containers within the yard in accordance with operational requirements.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and operate the Reach Stacker in a safe and compliant manner.
• Identify and report any visible container damage or operational issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the operations team to meet productivity and customer service targets.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Current Reach Stacker (RS) Licence.
• Demonstrated experience operating a 45-tonne Reach Stacker in a high-volume container yard.
• Previous experience with container loading, unloading and stacking operations.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and compliance.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify equipment or container issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
