Mining Applications Lead

As the Mining Applications Lead, you'll lead a high-performing applications support team, partnering with operational and technology stakeholders to ensure our critical mining systems remain reliable, secure and continuously improving across multiple sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced applications support leader to take ownership of a mining applications portfolio, mentor a team of support professionals, and drive improvements across application support processes and stakeholder relationships within a large, multi-site operation.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • $150,000 Base + Super + 15% Bonus
  • Perth based role.

THE ROLE

You will lead a team responsible for the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mining applications, acting as a key point of escalation and driving performance and capability across the team.

Working closely with operational teams, stakeholders, and technology partners, you'll ensure applications remain fit-for-purpose across a demanding operational landscape, while contributing to broader ERP and enterprise application initiatives.

Key responsibilities include

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Application Support Analysts.
  • Own the operational health and performance of the mining applications portfolio.
  • Drive Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders, vendors and internal technology teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve stability, automation and service delivery.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and enterprise transformation initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Fleet Management Systems (FMS), Mine Planning and Scheduling Systems, Production Reporting and Reconciliation Systems, Real-time Data Historians and SCADA Integration, Asset Health, Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance Platforms.
  • Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous Systems Integration
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications.
  • ITIL or service management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable

  • Mining or resources industry experience.
  • Exposure to mining applications such as MineStar, Modular, Hexagon, Deswik or similar.
  • SAP or other ERP experience.
