About the business/role/team
You will be joining the IT Operational Services function within the Bank, supporting a strategic enterprise platform that underpins IT and business service delivery.
The ServiceNow System Administrator sits within the MyService Platform Team and reports to the ServiceNow Technical Lead. The team is responsible for platform governance, core administration, configuration and continuous improvement across ServiceNow.
This role focuses on the core platform layer, working closely with Business Analysts, developers, managed service partners, Configuration Analysts and Asset Analysts to ensure the platform remains stable, secure and performant.
About the role
- Proactively monitor the health and performance of the ServiceNow platform and respond to issues before they impact users
- Administer core platform functions including users, roles, groups and security controls
- Maintain platform stability through effective incident resolution, root cause analysis and preventative fixes
- Support and maintain configurations including workflows, business rules, forms and UI policies across modules
- Ensure platform security, compliance and adherence to governance standards
- Support platform upgrades, patches and releases, including validation and impact assessment
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform defects, working with internal teams and vendors where required
- Provide responsive support to platform users and stakeholders, ensuring a high-quality user experience
- Contribute to continuous improvement through optimisation, standardisation and automation opportunities
About you
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow System Administrator in a complex enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of core platform administration, including security, access and instance management
- Experience supporting multiple modules
- Hands on experience configuring workflows, business rules, forms and UI policies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability with a proactive mindset
- Experience monitoring platform health and managing incident resolution end to end
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator required
