Vulnerability Research Internship

Interrupt Labs

We are looking for aspiring vulnerability researchers to join Interrupt Labs over summer, where you will develop your skills alongside some of the most experienced researchers in the industry.

Over 12 weeks, successful applicants will

  • Participate in the Vulnerability Researcher Bootcamp, where you will learn core skills in reverse engineering and vulnerability research (VR) through a mix of instructor-led and self-led training over 4 weeks.
  • Work alongside Interrupt Labs' researchers on your own research project, allowing you to further develop your skills with support and guidance.

If you have a solid understanding of low-level programming, operating system internals, and computer architectures - and enjoy pulling apart software to understand how it works, before finding ways to break it - this internship is for you!

To be eligible, you must be

  • An Australian citizen
  • Able to commit to the full 12-week internship (between November and February, with a short break between Christmas and New Years)
  • Based in Canberra, ACT or willing to relocate for at least the first 4 weeks

Ideally, you are:

  • In your final year of full-time study or 1st year since graduating from your degree
  • A strong academic performer
  • Able to attain a Letter of Recommendation from a current/past lecturer or tutor
