Working within a high-profile program area, you will help deliver trusted data solutions that support operational decision-making, risk management, and advanced analytics outcomes across a complex enterprise environment.

Your new role

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and optimising scalable data pipelines that transform complex datasets into reliable, analysis-ready assets. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to develop data models, integrate diverse data sources, and support analytics and reporting capabilities.

  • Designing and maintaining high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
  • Developing and optimising Teradata SQL solutions and enterprise data assets.
  • Implementing data governance practices, including data quality, metadata and lineage management.
  • Supporting cloud data platform initiatives across AWS and Azure environments.
  • Embedding analytical outputs into production-ready data solutions.
  • Driving continuous improvement, automation, performance optimisation and operational excellence across data platforms.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer within large and complex environments.
  • Advanced Teradata SQL and data modelling expertise.
  • Proven experience developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and metadata management practices.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable data solutions.
  • A Baseline Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
