Your Team
The Cash Management and Derivatives Team is part of Investments in the broader CFS Superannuation and Investments business unit which is responsible for delivering investment, superannuation and retirement products to our customers. This role and the team play an important part in the success of CFS’s strategic priorities.
Your Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of investment overlay strategies, including:
Beta replication programmes
Portfolio hedging strategies
Opportunistic, value-enhancing initiatives
Oversee effective cash and collateral management, ensuring optimal liquidity, risk management, and operational efficiency across portfolios.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including global and domestic investment banks, derivative solution providers, and investment managers, while representing the organisation professionally with research providers and industry partners.
Support the negotiation, review, and ongoing management of ISDA, CSA, and related legal documentation, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
Conduct market and strategy research to support idea generation, contributing to the identification and implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing investment outcomes
Your Capability and Experience
Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in investment markets, with implementation and execution exposure to derivatives across equity and fixed income asset classes highly regarded.
Strong analytical capability paired with intellectual curiosity, with a proactive approach to understanding markets and investment strategies.
Creative and lateral thinker, with well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex challenges from multiple perspectives.
Proven ability to prioritise effectively, manage competing demands, and consistently deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly across all levels of the organisation.
Tertiary qualification in finance, economics, or a related discipline.
Progress towards, or interest in pursuing, relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CFA) is advantageous but not essential.
