We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Resident Wellbeing Assistants to join our team on a casual basis at our Footscray Residential Aged Care Facility.
Our home specialises in supporting residents from the Vietnamese and Chinese communities, so fluency in Vietnamese and/or Chinese will be highly regarded.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will support residents' social, emotional, cultural, physical, and spiritual wellbeing through engaging activities and meaningful interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and emotional support.
- Assist with lifestyle programs, activities, and community engagement.
- Encourage resident independence, choice, and wellbeing.
- Support residents in accordance with care plans and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and resident records.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualification in Leisure & Health, Diversional Therapy, Individual Support, Ageing
- Support, Recreation, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in aged care, disability, community care, or lifestyle/wellbeing programs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Current National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Desirable
- Ability to speak Vietnamese and/or Chinese.
- Dementia care knowledge or experience.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Victorian Driver's Licence (where required).
