About the business

Wesley Home Care and Disability Services are dedicated to empowering people to live with independence, dignity and choice. We deliver a wide range of flexible, person-centred services to older Australians through government-funded programs including Support at Home and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), as well as privately funded care. Alongside this, our Disability Services team supports people living with complex needs through the NDIS, creating meaningful outcomes that enhance quality of life.

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to drive the success of our project portfolio and business process governance.

Project Evaluation: Assisting with the identification, assessment, and approval of new initiatives.

Requirements: Facilitating and documenting core business requirements.

Process Mapping: Analysing and defining both current and future state processes.

Solution Design: Recommending design solutions and developing comprehensive business cases.

Essential criteria

  • Facilitated workshops to capture and document precise functional requirements, map workflows, and apply governance frameworks (e.g., BPMN) to optimise service delivery

  • Evaluated complex data sets, financial metrics, and operational performance to identify risks and design compliant, future-state processes.

  • Collaborated effectively across internal and external teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear business terms.

  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional resources and delivering detailed project and financial reporting.
  • Leveraged a patient, adaptable approach to engage respectfully with diverse stakeholders across all levels, while successfully managing competing deadlines and workloads.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience in a not-for-profit or community service organisation

  • Experience in Home Care, Disability (e.g., NDIS), or Financial Services

  • Experience managing and configuring Client Care, HR, and Finance platforms

  • Experience in navigating and processing government portal claims and compliance reporting

  • Experience in facilitating system integrations within Agile development environments

  • Practical application of project methodologies, specifically Agile and PRINCE2

  • Basic understanding of sector-specific compliance, quality standards, and funding models

  • Experience working within a faith-based organisation

Qualifications and checks

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • Current Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check

  • As this role works with the aged, the suitable applicant will undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement and every three years following

  • An international police certificate will be required if the applicant has lived for more than six months in a country other than Australia while over the age of 16 years

This is a Non-Award salaried position. As a Public Benevolent Institution, Wesley Mission offers generous salary packaging to increase your take-home pay.
