About The Role

At TasNetworks, we're powering the transition to a cleaner energy future. As our Customer Account Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing strategic customer relationships across our large and complex Transmission Connections Portfolio.
As the primary commercial interface for our Transmission customers, you'll lead the ongoing management and optimisation of customer agreements while balancing customer expectations, commercial outcomes and regulatory obligations.
Working across the business, you'll collaborate with technical, operational and commercial teams to strengthen customer partnerships, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and ensure TasNetworks continues to deliver exceptional service in a rapidly changing energy market.
Your role will include but will not be limited to –
- Lead the management, review and negotiation of Transmission Connection Agreements to meet customer, regulatory and business requirements.
- Act as the primary commercial and relationship manager for Transmission customers and key industry stakeholders.
- Build trusted, long-term customer relationships that support sustainable partnerships across the National Electricity Market.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage customer expectations while identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, efficiency and value.
- Analyse customer and market data to anticipate customer needs, identify opportunities, manage commercial risks and inform business decisions.

You'll Also Have

- Extensive experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements.
- Exceptional customer relationship and key account management skills with the ability to balance customer outcomes and commercial objectives.

- Strong collaboration skills and a continuous improvement mindset, bringing people together to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data, manage risk and identify efficiencies.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A customer-first approach, with the confidence to ask the right questions, lead stakeholders and navigate complex commercial environments.
- A practical understanding of the National Electricity Rules and, ideally, experience within the renewable energy sector or transmission connections environment.
- A tertiary qualification in business, engineering, project management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
