We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with a disability in a home setting or out in the community.

  • Part-time and casual positions available from Rockingham to Shenton Park and across to Kenwick
  • Attractive hourly rate plus 12% superannuation
  • Not-for-Profit salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum to increase your take-home payment

Job Overview

As a Disability Support Worker, you will empower clients to live independently, participate in their communities, and achieve their personal goals. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, promoting social inclusion, and supporting health and wellbeing in line with individual care plans in a home setting or out in the community.

  • Have a high level of resilience and experience working with people who may present with difficult and challenging behaviors and circumstances.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts in various locations, including on weekends and public holiday

Key Responsibilities of this role include but not limited to

  • Behaviour support to the clients as per the Positive Behaviour Support Plan and/or in collaboration with Behaviour Support Team
  • Transporting and supporting clients in community participation, recreational activities, and appointments Administrative and documentation duties as directed by the Home and Community Leader and as per the position description and maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality
  • Personal care to the clients with disability (toileting, showering, continence management, dressing and grooming.)
  • Assist clients with medication as guided
  • Domestic duties including but not limited to cooking, cleaning and laundry
  • Follow Mosaic policies and procedures, NDIS guidelines for the workers and relevant legislation at all times
  • Maintain up to date mandatory training and compliance requirements
  • Encourage client’s skill development and independence
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support or equivalent) from an Australia accredited training organisation.
  • A minimum of one year work experience in a similar position
  • Current and valid certifications in First Aid/CPR, medication and Manual Handling
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current and valid Western Australia Driver’s License
  • Current Licensed and Insured Vehicle which is roadworthy and safe to transport our clients
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Be able to drive Mosaic’s vehicles including and not limited to Minivan/Minibus
