The Role
In this new position as the Citys Compliance Advisor, you will lead the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of our compliance framework, policies, procedures and reporting dashboards and undertake regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring compliance activities are consistent, lawful, risk-focused and aligned with legislative obligations while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
As the subject matter expert for complex and escalated compliance matters, you will work collaboratively across the organisation to embed best-practice compliance processes, provide specialist advice, and drive positive compliance outcomes.
This role is ideal for a compliance professional who enjoys influencing organisational outcomes, solving complex problems, and building strong stakeholder relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly capable compliance professional with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, influence stakeholders and drive organisational improvement.
You Will Bring
- Relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience in compliance, governance, regulatory operations or a related field
- Proven ability to provide high-quality advice and recommendations to senior leaders and governance bodies, influencing decision-making and organisational outcomes
- Experience leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, systems and training programs that strengthen organisational capability
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience providing leadership, supervision and guidance to staff
- Well-developed planning, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare high‑quality reports
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and functions to build credible and trusted relationships
- A strong commitment to integrity, accountability, transparency, good governance and maintaining community trust
