Role/Title: Infrastructure Specialist/DevOps Engineer - 6- 10 Years

Mode of Hiring: Permanent

Location: Melbourne

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Management Specialist with a strong background in DevOps to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in managing and optimizing infrastructure systems, ensuring high availability, and implementing best practices in DevOps methodologies. This role is critical in supporting our infrastructure needs and driving efficiency through automation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to enhance efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in DevOps practices and tools.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Experience with database management and optimization.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management principles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or infrastructure management are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
