Beyond EV is about more than just electric vehicles. We believe EVs will soon be standard, and our mission is to build the ecosystem that supports them. This includes the energy and decisions that keep these vehicles running. Beyond EV works with transit, logistics, and heavy fleets to switch to electric. We manage the energy flow between vehicles, infrastructure, and operations so our customers can focus on their work rather than becoming energy experts. Our services include planning and live operations. Through our planning tools and our platform, NexusCharge, an advanced Energy Management System that actively orchestrates charging, battery storage, and solar across a depot, is designed to fulfil operational readiness.

We are looking for a driven Account Executive to achieve this goal.

The opportunity

As our Account Executive, you’ll work closely with the CEO to grow revenue from NexusCharge SaaS subscriptions, Battery-as-a-Service, and professional services. You’ll help shape our go-to-market strategy and partner network. From the start, you’ll have real ownership, influence, and support from our team to help you succeed. Fleet electrification is reaching an exciting stage. Sales cycles are long and involve many stakeholders, and technical solutions often need to be explained to non-technical buyers. The market is still taking shape. You’ll hear "not yet" more than "yes," so we want someone who sees this as feedback, not failure. We’ll support you as you build momentum.

If you have deep domain expertise, an established network in fleet or energy, and the commercial instinct to build something significant, this role was designed for you.

What you'll do

  • Drive end-to-end sales across NexusCharge SaaS, BaaS infrastructure, and professional services.
  • Build and manage an enterprise pipeline across bus operators, logistics and freight, fleet management organisations, utilities, councils and large venues.
  • Lead discovery, commercial negotiation, proposals and contract close with large organisations.
  • Identify and activate distribution and channel partnerships with OEMs, FMOs and energy players.
  • Map the market, spot whitespace, and feed intelligence back into our product roadmap.
  • Build the business cases, ROI and TCO models that help operators say yes.
  • Identify new applications where our core technology, powering our ecosystem, can be applied.

What you'll need

  • A track record of building relationships and closing deals in a B2B environment, and being confident in closing multi-year and multi-million contracts. (We care more about how you do it than the exact number of years of experience. We hire for attitudes and a growth mindset.
  • The ability to learn a technical domain quickly and explain it simply to non-technical people so they can grasp the concept quickly.
  • We are looking for someone who can condense our technical work into why someone will hire our services and what they are really looking to achieve.
  • Strong commercial judgement and comfort structuring and negotiating complex agreements
  • Resilient and self-driven, able to keep moving forward through long sales cycles and frequent "no" responses.
  • A genuinely collaborative way of working; we're a small, mixed team, and you'll touch every part of it

What will help you move faster?

  • Experience in fleet, EV charging, energy management, or SaaS/infrastructure-as-a-service sales
  • An existing network in Australia among FMOs, bus operators, utilities or fleet operators.
  • Familiarity with BESS, solar or distributed energy resources, energy markets, fleet TCO modelling, or government-funded infrastructure programmes.
  • Know the market challenges and be ready to offer solutions to overcome them.

  • $130k–$145k base + superannuation + commission
