Alignerr

Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for Electrical Engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems — making a real impact on the next generation of intelligent systems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where you set your own schedule and contribute on your own terms.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that AI models use as a learning standard
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and alignment with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
  • Push the Boundaries — Probe AI systems on topics like embedded systems, VLSI, telecommunications, robotics, and engineering simulations to expose failure modes and edge cases

Who You Are

  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, power electronics, signal processing, or telecommunications
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
  • Highly detail-oriented — comfortable checking mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation with precision
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in an asynchronous environment
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or content evaluation
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning workflows
  • Background in simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.) or standards compliance

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
