Northern Health Northern Health is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking SAP & SuccessFactors Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering and optimising our people systems landscape.

Working within a dynamic Workforce Planning & Projects environment, you will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of SAP and SuccessFactors solutions that directly support our people, leaders and patients.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role

Join us in shaping the future of workforce technology by leading the design, planning and delivery of major enterprise system transformation initiatives, including the transition from SAP ECC to Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and the migration from RosterOn to Optima Live.

In this influential role, you will provide strategic and technical leadership across SAP SuccessFactors and integrated HR, payroll and workforce management systems, driving innovation, optimisation and continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in strengthening system governance, security and data integrity, while delivering seamless integrations, resolving complex technical challenges and influencing the organisation's workforce technology roadmap.

This role will require you to

  • Lead the technical design, planning and delivery of major system transformations, including:
  • Transition from SAP ECC to Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
  • Migration from RosterOn to Optima Live
  • Oversee the end-to-end optimisation, enhancement and governance of SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring alignment to organisational needs and best practice
  • Drive integration and interoperability across HR, payroll, rostering and workforce systems
  • Provide expert leadership on system architecture, configuration, data integrity and security
  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, including change control, release management and system auditing
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimise processes, user experience and system performance
  • Manage complex technical troubleshooting and issue resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Contribute to strategic workforce technology roadmaps, business cases and investment planning
  • Ensure compliance with Victorian public sector standards, privacy legislation and audit requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Deep SAP & SuccessFactors expertise across core modules, including Employee Central, ECP, and Talent Suite
  • Proven experience leading large-scale HRIS transformations, particularly in SAP ECC to Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and workforce rostering implementations (e.g. RosterOn to Optima Live)
  • Strong capability in end-to-end system optimisation, including process redesign, configuration and user experience improvement
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and managing HRIS governance frameworks (change control, release management, security and audit)
  • Advanced understanding of system architecture, integrations and data flows across HR, payroll and rostering platforms
  • Experience working with middleware/integration tools and managing vendor or system interfaces
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, workforce management and HR processes, ideally within a complex, unionised or healthcare environment
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and issue resolution in complex system environments
