Who We're Looking For
To support the growth of our mine water management services, we are seeking an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer to join our Perth team, working on Australian and international mining projects. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, assessment, design, and construction of tailings facilities, water dams, waste storage facilities, and mine water infrastructure, while developing your technical skills across a diverse range of mining projects.
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on engineer who is eager to build their expertise and gain exposure to complex projects from concept through to delivery. Working alongside experienced specialists, you will support technical studies, design development, and project execution across tailings, dams, water management, and mine infrastructure projects. What You Will Do
As an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer, you will support our Perth-based team on projects across Australia and globally. You will:
- Support field investigations and engineering studies
- Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling
- Contribute to climate-resilient water management designs
- Assist in delivering mine water management projects
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and design documentation
- Support construction, commissioning, and operational activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and global project teams
- Assist with proposals and client deliverables
- Participate in technical reviews and continuous learning opportunities
- Travel to project sites across Australia and internationally as required
What You Bring
We're looking for a collaborative engineer with strong technical capability and a passion for delivering practical water management solutions. You will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
- Professional Engineer registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- 5–8 years' experience in surface water management, ideally within mining
- Experience in water balances, open channel hydraulics, and erosion control design
- Proficient in RORB, WBNM, URBS, XP-RAFTS, TUFLOW, and HEC-RAS
- Experience delivering water management studies and designs
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Effective collaborator in multidisciplinary teams
- Well-organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Australia and internationally as required
