Senior Contract Administrator
Resourceful Recruitment
Our client is a well-established Tier 2 building and construction company with a genuine reputation for excellence and for how it looks after its people. Their average staff tenure sits at over 7.5 years, which speaks for itself. They're now seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join their Construction team, starting on a project in the Aged Care Living space.
About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager, Construction, you'll take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of a live Aged Care Living project. This isn't a role that ends when the project does. Once complete, you'll have the opportunity to move onto the next project across the business's broader portfolio, which spans hospitals, industrial developments, schools, defence and university work. If you like variety, want to keep learning, and enjoy being challenged with different project types, this is a career, not just a placement.
What you'll be doing
- Managing head contracts and subcontract agreements on a live Aged Care Living project, with future projects to follow
- Preparing and negotiating subcontract packages, variations, EOTs and progress claims
- Owning monthly cost reporting and cash flow forecasting
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risk
- Mentoring Contracts Administrators and supporting the broader commercial team
- Partnering closely with Project Directors and Site Managers to align commercial and delivery outcomes
What you'll bring
- 8+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator in a Tier 2 or similar construction environment
- Experience on Aged Care, Health, hospitals, schools, defence, industrial or university projects all highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of standard form contracts (AS4000, AS4902) and subcontracts
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career with one business and take on new challenges as they arise
- Proven ability to manage and mentor junior commercial staff
Why join this team
- A total package in the early-to-mid $200,000s, with the flexibility to structure a company vehicle and fuel card, or take the cash equivalent
- A business that is upfront and honest with clients, and just as committed to looking after its subcontractors
- A genuinely supportive culture where staff are empowered to excel, learn, and do their best work, in a safe environment
- A leadership team that wants you to grow with them long term, not just fill a role
- The chance to work across a genuinely diverse portfolio of meaningful projects over the course of your career here
If you're an experienced Contracts Administrator looking for a business that will invest in you for the long haul, we want to hear from you.
