Our expertise extends to the full range of corporate matters including private M&A, public M&A, equity capital markets and corporate governance advice. We are trusted advisors to private equity and venture capital funds, large institutions, ASX listed companies, SME businesses, start-up and early-stage growth companies and founders located across Australia and internationally. Our partners are recognised as leading M&A practitioners and have spent significant periods in top-tier M&A and private equity teams in Sydney, Brisbane and London.
We have a unique environment for lawyers, allowing them to develop more quickly than those working with our national and international peers. This includes:
- no billable hours targets;
- a monthly bonus program of up to 50% of base salary that rewards finding solutions for clients; and
- a unique development program including our structured M&A Academy led by market-leading practitioners.
Talbot Sayer has a dynamic, collaborative culture, where we reward positive outcomes for clients, not hours spent in the office. We take a tailored and contemporary approach to leading, developing and rewarding our lawyers to facilitate better outcomes for clients and team members alike. We work hard but have a ready sense of humour and take the time to celebrate our successes.
Role
We have an opportunity in our Brisbane office for a lawyer with 2 to 4 years' post-admission experience in corporate and M&A. The successful candidate will have demonstrable transactional experience across private and/or public M&A, equity capital markets or related corporate work, and will be looking to deepen that expertise within a market-leading practice.
You will work across a large corporate team, including nine M&A partners (seven in Brisbane), giving you direct exposure to high-quality deals and the partners leading them.
We are seeking a candidate with strong academic credentials who thrives in a team environment, demonstrates curiosity, and shows a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
